Job Description

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a growing international civil engineering main contractor to oversee projects across Yorkshire as part of a new framework agreement.

Off the back of a very successful AMP7, the company has secured work on the AMP8 framework with Yorkshire Water running to 2030 at least. A £500m+ turnover contractor with a forward thinking regional team - many of which have come from Tier 1 & Tier 2 backgrounds in the industry and many of which have grown from Graduate level with this employer.

Wide range of projects covering: Water Treatment works, re-enforced concrete works, structures, deep drainage, pipework, cofferdams & shaft sinking etc. Projects ranging up to £5/10m.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Management of multiple projects (depending on value)
  • Buildability & Feasibility - working with in-house Design team & external consultancies
  • Assist Contracts Manager with allocation of staff and sub-contractors
  • Assist with programming work
  • Leading ECI - Early Contractor Involvement
  • Communicating with commercial team to control budgets & track costs
  • Issuing early warnings & compensation events
  • Produce relevant documentation for sites

Experience required:

  • Candidates must have proven experience at Project Manager level with a principal contractor on civil engineering / infrastructure projects (values £5m+)
  • Experience managing Water / Heavy Civils projects as PC
  • Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is essential
  • Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree)
  • Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS and Full Driver's License
  • Temporary Works tickets are beneficial

A salary of up to £70,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
