Job Description

Are you a highly organised and professional individual looking for a Receptionist role where you can be the first point of contact in a busy office environment, providing excellent customer service and administrative support within a respected regional business?

We are working in partnership with a well-established housebuilding organisation to recruit a Receptionist to join their Teesside office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and friendly individual to take ownership of front-of-house operations and provide essential administrative support across multiple departments.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer care, and is looking for a stable, part-time opportunity with flexibility and variety.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception and front-of-house operations, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, calls, and general enquiries, while supporting wider administrative functions across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing front-of-house reception duties, ensuring all visitors are greeted professionally and efficiently
  • Operating the switchboard, answering and directing telephone calls in a polite and timely manner
  • Maintaining a presentable and welcoming reception area at all times
  • Coordinating incoming deliveries and notifying relevant departments promptly
  • Organising and booking meeting rooms, ensuring facilities and refreshments are arranged as required
  • Providing general administrative and secretarial support across the business as needed
  • Handling incoming emails and enquiries via the company website, ensuring timely and professional responses
  • Supporting accurate processing of documents, paperwork, and internal correspondence
  • Maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Assisting with office organisation and ad hoc tasks as directed by senior staff
  • Providing reception cover during lunch breaks, holidays, and periods of absence
  • Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or office administration role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently using initiative as well as part of a team
  • Professional, friendly, and customer-focused approach
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Flexible approach to working hours to provide cover when required
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude towards supporting office operations

Role Information:

  • Part-time role (16 hours per week)
  • Based in Teesside
  • Competitive salary (DOE)
  • Flexible working required to cover holidays, absences, and lunch periods
  • Opportunity to work within a well-established and supportive business environment
  • Varied role with exposure across multiple departments
  • Long-term opportunity with stability and ongoing support
