  • Monitoring construction progress across multiple residential development sites.

  • Maintaining accurate site records and producing detailed written and photographic inspection reports.

  • Attending pre-start and progress meetings with contractors and project teams.

  • Representing the organisation in technical discussions and providing practical construction advice.

  • Challenging poor workmanship and working with contractors to resolve quality issues.

  • Supporting the preparation, management and resolution of defects.

  • Assisting with the successful handover of completed new-build homes.

  • Providing technical advice on new-build and latent defects.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve construction quality, specifications and future development processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong practical knowledge of residential construction and new-build housing.

  • Previous experience in a Clerk of Works, Technical Officer, Site Manager, Quality Inspector or similar construction role.

  • Experience inspecting building works and assessing workmanship against technical specifications.

  • Good understanding of Building Regulations, construction standards and building contract requirements.

  • Knowledge of fire safety requirements and quality assurance processes.

  • Ability to identify defects, assess technical issues and recommend appropriate remedial solutions.

  • Strong report-writing skills and confidence producing detailed inspection records.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge contractors constructively.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage inspections across multiple sites.

  • Full and valid UK driving licence – essential.
