Do you have customer service and administration experience and enjoy helping customers while keeping accurate records and information?

Are you organised, professional and confident communicating with customers face-to-face, over the telephone and in writing?

We’re recruiting a Customer Advisor Administrator to join a busy Customer Service team based in County Durham.

You’ll provide a combination of customer-facing and administrative support, responding to enquiries, updating systems, managing complaints and helping ensure customers receive accurate and timely information throughout the service process.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high standards of customer service, is comfortable working across different tasks and enjoys being part of a supportive team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Answer incoming calls and accurately log customer enquiries on corporate systems
  • Input and maintain customer information to support accurate reporting and record keeping
  • Liaise with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to provide accurate and timely information
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure responses are provided within appropriate timescales
  • Maintain accurate records of customer queries, actions and resolutions
  • Capture lessons learnt and customer feedback to support wider service improvements
  • Visit customers where required to discuss their requirements while works are being carried out
  • Contact customers to confirm satisfaction and support effective service delivery
  • Provide administrative support to the Customer Service Manager and wider team
  • Audit information to ensure agreed processes are being followed and records remain accurate
  • Support continuous improvement while maintaining high standards of health and safety, communication and customer service

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years’ customer service experience
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills across telephone, written and face-to-face interactions
  • Professional, approachable and empathetic manner
  • Good time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while using your own initiative
  • Full valid UK driving licence – essential

Desirable:

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades A–C or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Previous experience within construction, housebuilding or a Customer Service environment
