We’re recruiting a Business Development Coordinator / Administrator to support a busy Business Development team working across the North East and Yorkshire within the civil engineering, affordable housing and commercial construction sectors.
You’ll provide key administrative and coordination support, helping to maintain business development pipelines, manage CRM information, coordinate meetings and organise events. You’ll work closely with senior Business Development colleagues and wider pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure opportunities and market intelligence are accurately recorded and communicated.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain accurate business development pipelines and opportunities using bespoke management systems
- Manage and update the CRM system, ensuring key information is accurately recorded and circulated
- Work with pre-construction teams to understand, record and update opportunities
- Share relevant business development information with wider delivery and operational teams
- Coordinate client meetings, appointments and actions for the Business Development team
- Identify, organise and support corporate and business development events
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, opportunities, actions and wider Business Development intelligence
- Support the Business Development Manager with market intelligence across key sectors
- Provide general administrative and coordination support to the wider Business Development team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in administration, coordination or business support, or a strong willingness to develop within the role
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
- Strong written, face-to-face and telephone communication skills
- Competent using Microsoft Office
- Confident dealing with external clients and building strong professional relationships
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Friendly, approachable and confident when communicating with people at all levels
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing demands
- Proactive approach with the confidence to take on new challenges
- Full clean UK driving licence – desirable
Desirable:
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a Business-related subject
- Previous experience within construction, civil engineering or the built environment
- Experience using CRM or business management systems
