Elvet Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established house builder in their search for a Senior Engineer to join their high-performing Technical team in Teesside. This is a key role within the business, offering the chance to shape engineering delivery across multiple residential developments while contributing to a collaborative and forward-thinking culture.

About the Role

As Senior Engineer, you’ll oversee the Engineering function on a number of developments, ensuring that technical tasks are prioritised and delivered efficiently, accurately, and within budget. You’ll act as a central point of contact for engineering advice across the business, supporting site teams and senior stakeholders with timely, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering information in a clear, concise, and commercially aware format
  • Liaise with internal departments, regulators, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Manage key systems including NHBC Bonds and ensure compliance across developments
  • Provide strategic engineering input at Area and Regional level
  • Oversee technical advice on ground investigations, contamination, infrastructure design, foundations, external works, utilities, and agency coordination

About You

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced engineer who brings:

  • MICE accreditation or equivalent professional qualification
  • Proven experience working as an engineer within residential house building
  • A strong track record of performance and technical leadership
  • Expertise across ground conditions, infrastructure, utilities, and regulatory liaison
  • Confident decision-making and the ability to manage multiple priorities across teams
